Dear Quilting Queen's,

It's that time to update the newsletter again. There is so much information to cover, so hopefully...you all are reading! Also, be sure to stop by the Gallery on this website to view even more photos of the "Shoppe!"

A couple of reminders before we get to the really fun stuff!

As of January 1, 2008 you need 400 points to earn a Quilting Queen Certificate. Points are earned on non-sale quilting related merchandise only. The $25 Quilting Queen Certificate is only redeemable on non-sale quilting related purchases of $50 or more. We are sorry, but we can no longer "give" your points to someone else.

Please remember that we close at 5pm Tuesdays through Saturdays. We still have some people showing up after 5pm. We are also closed on Sundays and Mondays until further notice. We will re-open on Mondays when we are in the new "shoppe" space.

Speaking of the new space, we still do not know when exactly it will be ready and it may be later than expected. Jan has received word that our "shoppe" will be on the International Quilt Market tour in May. The International Quilt Market is open to shop owners and industry vendors and it is hosted this year in Portland. So, with that information we are content with the pace of the construction as we certainly do not want to have our shop torn apart when this is happening.

Here is one of the latest pictures of the building. We will have two entrances to the "Shoppe." For Guests with disabilities there will be an entrance directly center and the main entrance will be to the far right, with the arch. We have recently designed our cash register area which will have three cutting stations and two registers!Isn't that exciting?

In addition to these specials, the moving sale continues on the large sale wall. We have recently updated the wall and added many more fabrics to choose from. Prices range from $2.99yd, $3.99yd and $4.99yd. 1yd min.cuts required. (in-store only).

Introducing Layer Cakes from Moda!

Have you heard about these yet? Currently we carry the Layer Cakes in three collections from Moda, "At Waters Edge", Holly Taylor's "A Natural Garden" and "Simplicity." They join a series of other pre-cut goods such as Charm Packs and Jellyrolls. Layer Cakes have just hit the market and are being embraced by all fabric lovers! Layer cakes consist of 40 pre-cut squares (10" x 10")from an entire collection. Similar to Charm Packs and Jellyrolls, this is a very affordable way to gather an entire collection of coordinating fabrics! Layer Cakes can be used for all types of quilting and home decor projects!

Kits

If you are a local customer and have been into the "Shoppe", you may have seen several kits being planned and created. Our kits are priced as if you were selecting the fabric yourself. There is no "mark up!" Kits simply provide convenience in that you don't have to fuss with finding coordinating fabrics and you don't have to wait for your fabrics to be cut! If your selected kit needs backing, you can receive 15% off the backing when purchased with your kit! Our kits are also attractively packaged...some customers don't even want to open them! Here are some of our newest kits. You can find them under the "Kits" section of "Shopping."
