In this class you will learn how to prepare applique pieces using freezer paper and the starch method. Students will also learn how to apply applique pieces to their background. You will need to have your backgrounds pieced together before class, therefore it is important to register plenty of time before class.

Since this is a technique class, a kit purchase will be required. DO NOT BRING SEWING MACHINE. You will have to sew the backgrounds together before class. In addition to the kit students should bring the following:

Small Clover Iron and Iron Mat
Freezer Paper
Spray Starch
Small bowl for starch
Stiff bristled pain brush (small): We use stencil brush (craft size)
Thin black sharpie
Light box
Scissors (small and large are good)
Basting Glue
Cutting mat
Rotary Cutter
Frixon Pen
